One of the best things ever created has to be live casino games, namely live dealer blackjack. How does it get any better than this? Not only can you play blackjack from the comfort of your own home, you can get the same experience that you would get at a brick and mortar casino too. Of course, minus the annoying things like smoke, crowds, lines, noise and/or anything else that might bother you.

A great thing too, is that many online casinos offer live dealer blackjack. This does present a challenge though, namely trying to find the best casino. But that’s where we come in. The rest of this article will focus on highlighting the things you need to be aware of and look for when shopping for a live dealer site to play blackjack at.
Live Dealer Streaming & Software
I would think that one of the most important things to review would have to be the software. Live dealer blackjack is cool and all, but if the software sucks or lags a ton, than it won’t be any fun to play.
From what I’ve seen, most live dealer casinos allow you to play their live games with play money. Some will limit how much you can play though, since they want to save seats for real money players. I highly suggest taking advantage of this and use it to figure out whether the software is up to your standards. A majority of the live dealer casino software is browser based too, meaning that you won’t have to go through the hassle of downloading the software for each casino you want to review.
Also, be sure to check to see what formats are used to provide the live games. As I mentioned above, browser based formats are available. Many casinos will also provide their software in a downloadable format. Others will have dedicated TV channels. If the casino you want to play at offer this, be sure to write down their schedule as many aren’t available 24/7.
Live Dealer Blackjack Decks & Shuffling
Something I would look at before signing up to an online casino with live dealer blackjack is how many decks are in play and how often are they shuffled. I have a couple reasons for this.
From a strategy standpoint, it’s going to be easier to count cards when there are fewer decks in play. In other words, the plays you make are going to be more accurate based on your count.
Another thing — the less often the cards are shuffled, the less often you’ll have to restart your count. Again, your actions will be more accurate. And considering that this is “live dealer,” the less the cards are shuffled, the smaller the waiting time between hands.
Number of Tables & Wagers & Other Games Offered
Since these are “live” games, it’ll be a good idea to lean towards casinos that have more tables. This will reduce, if not eliminate any wait time you might otherwise experience trying to find an available game to play.
It’ll also likely give you more options when it comes to table limits too. Speaking of which, you shouldn’t have any issues finding a casino that has a wide range of limits. I found live dealer casinos that range from $1 per hand all the way up to $10k+ per hand. So there is definitely something for everyone.
And this could just be me, but I would also find a casino that offers more than just blackjack — assuming that you want to play other games, of course. A majority of these live dealer casinos will offer a couple other games in addition to blackjack such as (but not limited to) Baccarat, Roulette and Sicbo. This is good if you’re anything like me and need some variety in the games you play.
Live Dealer Supported Languages
Quite a few online casinos cater to a worldwide audience. However, a casino might have a primary focus on a specific country or have a dominant language that they use. Because of this, you might want to make sure that your language is supported. This should be easy to determine since most sites will have flags for the countries/languages they support and/or there will be support text written in those languages.
Of all the things on this page, languages are probably the least important. You can play without sound. But for those of you wanting to experience 100% of what live dealer blackjack has to offer, it’s worth looking into.
